in opening night thriller at High Line |
|
Barrie Speedway kicked off its 2008 season with cool temperatures in

the season point standings the past two seasons respectively. Brown,
the top qualifier in earlier heat races would storm out to the early
lead after a exciting side by side battle with #8 Dave Lewis of
Ramara, after Lewis was forced to pit with mechanical woes after an

television broadcast agreement with Rogers Television Network to
televise all of the weekly NASCAR Whelen All-American Series races
at Barrie Speedway this season. We’re also very excited to have
Centennial Dodge Chrysler Jeep and G.D. Coates Suzuki as a major

| Spectacular aerial view of
Barrie Speedway |
 |
This absolutely stunning shot of Barrie Speedway was taken during
the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series event on September 8th.
Taken at dusk, the shot shows the Canadian Series drivers being led
by the pace car down the front straightaway.
What really takes your
breath away however is the absolute sea of cars, campers and haulers.
It's amazing how far the track has come in just a few shorts years!
