2008 NASCAR Decal Location Instructions
The photo depicts the “OFFICIAL” 2008 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series decal positioning for the contingency program decals.

If your team chooses not to display a particular decal, the decals located below the vacant position may “float” upward provided they remain relevant to the picture below.

Per the 2008 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Rulebook, Section 12-4K states that all competitors must display the Series decal and contingency decals to be eligible for Series and contingency awards. Remember that only approved NASCAR contingency program sponsor decals may be displayed on the front fender area as shown.

2008 Purses, Payouts and tire prices available online
Barrie's 2008 points funds are the highest of any track in Ontario - in fact two to three times higher than anyone else in the province! As well, the weekly purse has been increased for all of our divisions. The points fund for the Late Models alone in 2008 will top $20,000, with a total of almost $35,000 available across all divisions. This is by far the most lucrative points fund in Ontario!

Tires for the Late Models are $120 each and $95 each for the Thunder Cars.

Thunder Cars Rules 2007 Thunder Car Champion, Dave Doucette ....
Thunder Cars are open to any North American model of car (with a few exceptions) with a minimum of 108-inch wheel base. Convertibles, four-wheel drive vehicles, trucks and station wagons are not allowed. V8 engines with minor modifications are allowed, with automatic transmissions mandatory. Engines may be .060-inch overbore. The rules and restrictions are designed to prevent the costs from getting out of hand.

Pure Stocks & Chargers Rules
2007 Pure Stock Champion, Dave Burrows ....
2007 Charger Champion, Shawn Monette ....
The Pure Stock division started in 2001 as the entry level class at Barrie Speedway and was designed to introduce new racers to the sport. For Pure Stocks, the emphasis was always on fun and safety, while keeping costs and complexity to a minimum. Over the years, the division has grown immensely in both the car count and the talent level. In 2007, the division was split with the introduction of the "Charger" class. The Chargers are now the official entry level class, with the more seasoned and competitive drivers moving up to the Pure Stock division. New drivers, or drivers who simply want to get out and have fun, run in the Charger class.

Chargers and Pure Stock race cars are identical. Both divisions are open to any 4-cylinder car, domestic or import. Front or rear wheel drives cars are allowed, with engines no larger than 2500cc. Rear and mid-engine cars are not allowed. Roll cages are mandatory. The divisions share a common rule book.
